In the early 2006 I had a studio in an old warehouse on Union Wharf along Portland Maine’s working waterfront. Every day I went to the studio I would take a photo of the fishing boats tied up along the pier. One day as I was taking my daily photo, a seagull flew into view, and that was the inspiration and reference for this painting.
The original artwork is 11×14 watercolor on paper and has been SOLD.
